TOKYObay Watches and Accessories

Posted by Beni Schaub at 3:56 AM
TOKYObay is a 23 year old independent watch & accessory brand born out of a collaboration between two talented designers from two very different backgrounds. Dory Isaacs, from the South Coast of England living in the San Francisco Bay Area and Jun Kobayashi, from Tokyo, came together as two friends with a vision. They created an East meets West inspired line of bold watches & accessories. Dory's background in fashion design & illustration combined with Jun's Japanese aesthetics, provides a unique fusion of detail oriented design & fashion focused sensibilities.
TOKYObay produces high quality, accessible watches & accessories that use innovative materials & color combinations.  Materials currently appearing in the line range from layered tortoise shell acetate cases to hand woven Japanese silk cords strap options.  Classic, casual and unpretentious, TOKYObay brings time to accessorizing for the every day.

"We came together over 20 years ago to create something different using our individual strengths & backgrounds in design & product development.  We find continual inspiration in our work by combining new materials sourced from different countries and integrating unexpected textures & metal finishes. By experimenting with new looks and colors each season, we try to consistently evolve the line by mixing different eras with modern elements to bring both a familiar yet distinct look."  -Dory Isaacs, Designer & Co-Founder.

TOKYObay has garnered a following of celebrity fans including Sarah Michelle Geller, Maria Bello, Jennifer Aniston, Pink, Halle Berry, Kevin Spacey, Helen Hunt, Robin Williams and Kiefer Sutherland. The brand is based in San Francisco and is available in retailers across the US, Canada, UK, Japan, Russia, Australia, New Zealand & Singapore ($35-$190;
