Variety’s 6th Annual Power of Women Luncheon

Movado was a premier sponsor of Variety’s 6th Annual Power of Women Luncheon in NYC for the second consecutive year on April 25, 2014. This exciting luncheon inspires and encourages people from all walks of life to get involved, give back and make a difference. The exclusive event was hosted by renowned fashion designer Zac Posen - guests included media and entertainment insiders who came to celebrate six of the entertainment industry’s most philanthropic women for their humanitarian contributions and support of social causes.

This year’s honorees included Oscar winner Susan Sarandon (Hope North), Golden Globe and Emmy winners Sarah Jessica Parker (New York City Ballet) and Claire Danes (Afghan Hands), Tony winner Idina Menzel (A Broader Way), International Supermodel Iman (Dr. Hawa Abdi Foundation) and A+E Networks President/CEO Nancy Dubuc (Project Rubicon/The Mission Continues).

The event featured Variety's Philanthropy Bazaar which provides an interactive area for guests to engage with the featured charities and participating brand partners. Movado was proud to present each honoree with a Movado brand timepiece to auction for the benefit of her designated charity. Each watch was housed in a custom-designed gift box signed by celebrities attending the event.
