Anne Fogarty Label Revival

Today Anne Fogarty, Inc. announces the relaunch of the Anne Fogarty label. Five dresses, designed and hand crafted in Italy, are being offered through a Kickstarter campaign and will be available for order throughout the month of June. The five new designs are a preview of things to come when a full Spring / Summer 2015 collection will be presented in New York this September.

The project to re-launch the Anne Fogarty label is the brainchild of husband and wife team Greg Halvorsen and Ivana Lo Stimolo. "We felt that such an important designer as Anne could not be left off the list of prestigious heritage fashion brands currently in the market" stated Ivana. "We feel that her classic and timeless designs still resonate greatly with women today and we have done everything to make sure her legacy lives on in this new collection" she added.

The five dresses currently being offered include a red pleated cocktail dress, a white cotton print, a gold lurex dress with matching sash, a floral dress and a beige polka dot sheath dress with matching swing jacket. All five are the creations of Italian designer Silvia Gammaitoni and are hand crafted in Italy using only the finest Italian fabrics.

Anne's strict adherence to high quality materials, attention to detail and well tailored fit are reflected in every dress.

About Anne Fogarty the Designer

Anne Fogarty was an American fashion designer active from 1940 to 1980. She is accredited for creating the "American look" and known for her feminine, timeless designs. Her dresses had women lining up at such stores as Saks Fifth Avenue and Lord & Taylor. She was the recipient of several awards including a Coty Award, a merit award from "Mademoiselle", one from Bonwit Teller and a Neiman Marcus Fashion Award. In 1959 she published fashion guide "Wife Dressing: The Art of Being a Well-Dressed Wife" that was recently republished by Glitterati Incorporated. In 1962 she founded Anne Fogarty Inc which she ran for 12 years while launching several spin off labels including A.F. Boutique, Collectors Items by Anne Fogarty and Clothes Circuit. Anne designed her last collection in 1980 for Shariella Fashions.
